Bangkok "feet killing" holiday, Aug '07
Today i got my 3rd driving lesson and it was the 2nd lesson i have with instructor 2, Mr. John..yesterday was my first lesson with him..oh well why do i have 2 instructors? This is all thanks to the blur and dumb me who did not check with instructor 1 if he is a registered pte instructor with ssdc b4 i engage his service..i only gotten to know that he is only registered with cdc after i pass my ftt and was so eager to book for the tp date..So after discussing with hubby, we decided for forgo the $50 registration fee that I've paid instructor 1 and engage another instructor as ubi will be inconvenience for me to travel to since I'm going back to work next week..It was so hard to find a suitable pte instructor for ssdc..i called afew but most of them were teaching auto car instead..i even got 1 instructor that tell me female driver will 100% fail on their 1st attempt..of cuz upon hearing that how can i trust him to teach me since he himself got no confident in his teaching that cant make a female driver to pass for 1st attempt? Finally I found 2 instructors that were giving manual driving lesson, one of which is Mr. John..i remember reading a post from the forum that Mr. John is very sarcastic when teaching ..but he sound more professional when i spoken to him so i decided to engage him instead of another driving uncle who sounded like instructor 1..
So yesterday was my 1st lesson with Mr. John..It was a raining day..when i first saw Mr. John i was really nervous and scare since i read abt him online..unexpectedly, he wasn't that bad..he was very patience and i kinda like his way of teaching as compared to instructor 1..he also never stress on how rough i am to his car despite his car was newer than instructor 1 one..his first lesson really boost my confident even though is only 1 hr session as compared to instructor 1's 2hr lesson..i can control the biting point well and make turning more smoothly..my 1hr lesson with Mr. John yesterday was only turning round and round at the carpark by control the biting point..
Today i got my 2nd lesson with Mr. John..we started at the carpark to refresh what he taught me yesterday..though I'm not gd at estimating the stopping point and was either stopping too far in or too far out. Mr. John was still quite patience with me and i never hear any sarcastic remarks so far (hope I'll never hear any)..After 30mins of driving round the carpark, he instructed me to drive to the main road. .I'm really nervous and forgotten to check on my blind spot again, he gotta e-brake me at the traffic light as i brake too slow luckily that taxi that follow behind did not hit us..i also shifted a wrong gear..instead of going to gear 2, i shifted to gear 4 instead..this time, i did not hear any comment of how i might damage the car, instead Mr. John just remind me to shift more to the left..maybe Mr. John's car pay lesser for his insurance lol..guess he can sense that I'm too afraid to hit on other vehicles, he ensure me that he is observing me and will brake if he feels that I'm braking too slow. So far my experience with Mr. John was not bad and i also booked a few more lessons with him. My next lesson will be tomorrow, hope that he can give green light for me to book the TP date soon..
until next time..
